FREE: The Song That Dives Into the Soul and Surfaces in Flames

Publicado el 2 de agosto de 2025, 15:54

This is how “Free”, the explosive new single from Marco & The Freedivers, begins.
But it’s not just a song.
It’s a descent. A dive into the depths of emotion—where fear, rage, longing, and hope move like ancient creatures that have never seen the sun.

From the first strike of the drums and the growl of the guitar, you know this isn’t just music—it’s a reckoning.
A cry for truth. A declaration of identity. A sonic act of courage.

Marco Piccioni: Musician. Freediver. Storyteller of the Abyss.

A Berklee College of Music graduate and a fixture in the UK jazz-blues scene, Marco Piccioni has played alongside luminaries like Fiona Ross, Julia Biel, Afrobeat legend Dele Sosimi, and jazz icon Cleveland Watkiss.
But Marco is more than a masterful guitarist and singer—he’s an explorer. Of sound. Of silence. Of what it means to be human.

As a freediver, he plunges into the ocean’s depths on a single breath, embracing stillness, pressure, and solitude.
As a musician, he channels that very same journey into music that breathes like the sea itself—swelling, breaking, sinking, and rising again.
Marco & The Freedivers is the living fusion of those two worlds.

“Free”: Where Blues, Rock, and Jazz Burn Like Liquid Fire

Co-written with visionary songwriter Bnann Infadels, “Free” is a high-voltage blues-rock anthem fueled by vintage distortion, thunderous double bass, and the elegant chaos of jazz.
But beneath the sonic power, it carries something even deeper: a message.
It’s about choosing authenticity over comfort.
Truth over convenience.
And the bravery it takes to live free.

Marco’s voice doesn’t just sing—it summons.
And the guitar solo? It doesn’t just soar—it speaks.
Like a storm breaking open the sky, it tells a story with no words, only lightning.

Not a Song. A Transformation.

“Free” is not made to blend in. It’s made to wake you up.
To remind you that freedom isn’t a place—it’s a decision. It’s a feeling.
It’s the moment you stop holding your breath and let yourself fall—only to rise again, changed.

Music as Oxygen

Some make music to entertain.
Others to escape.
Marco & The Freedivers make music to breathe.
To dive into the unknown and come back with something sacred.
Like freediving, their sound teaches us to trust the silence, descend into our own depths… and resurface stronger.

“Free” drops on May 30, 2025, on all streaming platforms.
But listening to it isn’t just pressing play.
It’s answering a call.
To feel. To face yourself.
To dive in—and come back reborn.
