WENDY, a band bursting out of Tokyo's lively rock scene, just dropped their new single, Pull Me In. It's a total banger and kicks off their big push onto the world stage. You can find it on all the usual streaming spots.
This release is a taste of their first vinyl album, ‘Don’t waste my YOUTH,’ which drops in the UK on October 13 via JPU Records (they're all about bringing Japanese music to the rest of us). And to top it off, they're playing their first London headline gig at The Water Rats on November 17, 2025 – huge for these guys!
Real, Raw Rock
Forget overproduced stuff, WENDY’s Pull Me In is all about keeping it real. They recorded it live with Marc Whitmore (the guy who worked with Jon Batiste and The Black Keys). Getting their true sound was key. Whitmore cut the whole album in nine days, live and without edits, to keep that raw energy they're known for.
The song is a mix of youthful energy and classic rock vibes. Pull Me In is an experience – it's like a direct line to the heart of a band that wants to bring rock back.
From Lockdown to Big Dreams
WENDY started as a secret project during Japan's COVID lockdowns. These teenagers were rebelling against being stuck at home. Their rough demos blew up online, catching the eye of people in the music biz and landing them a deal with Sony Music Publishing.
Whitmore loved those early demos so much that he wanted to produce their album. Now they're getting big in Japan, with shout-outs from Billboard US, TV spots on NHK World-Japan's J-MELO, and spots at festivals like SUMMER SONIC and METROCK.
What’s Next?
With Pull Me In, WENDY is going global. They're dreaming big, like headlining Wembley Stadium one day, inspired by bands like The Rolling Stones and AC/DC. The UK vinyl release and London gig are big steps in that direction.
“Pull Me In” isn't just a single; it's your invite to WENDY's world. They're not letting rock die, and they're taking everyone with them, one killer riff at a time.Haz clic aquí para añadir texto
